It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings.
... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours!
After all, there's nothing wrong with the town today and you might just want to savor it while it lasts.

Well, it's like this, son. You're going to bond, you're going to like each other, and then you're going to find yourself mighty upset when someone kills someone you like. You gonna want to punish that someone. That's how it goes.
[Because he's definitely disagreeing on that definition.]
You're makin' an awful lot of assumptions. Way I see it, the only people I'm interested in punishing are the ones who made this happen in the first place. Y'know. The ones who decided to drag kids into this.
[And that's a punishment he's fully intending to make happen. Oh, he sounds real pissed now - there's a real growl to his voice.]
Nah. I don't really think anything about it, really. It's part of the theme. Wild West, execution justice, that thing. Suppose I'd use a different word in a different era.
[ But Eliot does get a raise of his eyebrows in response. ]
Kids here are pretty capable of playing. You talk like that, you ain't gonna win anything here. Have fun with your whole... anger thing, though.
