[ WEEK ONE ]

WEEK ONE

CURRENT POPULATION: 40

It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings.

... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours!

After all, there's nothing wrong with the town today and you might just want to savor it while it lasts.

This post functions as the general mingle post for the week. Wanted Posters and other small events will be posted in top levels below. If there's any questions or requests, please send a PM or shoot a PP to [plurk.com profile] robowest.

[Mrs. O'Leary is actually having the time of her life with all of these new people that want to pet her. She's grown used to her smaller size and she'll happily sniff at Jason's hand before licking his fingers and allowing for him to pet her. Sometimes Percy forgets she's technically a guard dog.]

Yes. [Speaking from someone who had national news reports listing him as a wanted criminal when he was 12? Yes, they could have made it much worse.] Some of these things don't look like they're totally accurate though. [And because he always looks for her, he points to Annabeth's post.] "Something normal" doesn't really sound like a good answer.

[He notices the items sticking out of Jason's pockets and part of him wants to say something like "aren't you like 12???" but that's not important. He's busy trying to read everything else but occasionally squinting still.] So that means somebody's been watching us even before they kidnapped us. We still don't know why.

[Look, a good guard dog deserves a good petting. Jason is going to rub her head for as long as Mrs. O'Leary allows it, or until something else catches his attention. Bless this dog.]

Maybe they couldn't be bothered to find out. Or they thought it'd be funny to put something stupid instead. [And he inclines his head towards Sara's profile.] Alternatively, option three — they were too busy staring at some people's tits and ass to do their job. I'd say we got kidnapped by a bunch of incompetent jerks, but seeing as how we're still here...

[That, and the fact that they kidnapped people who are supposed to be dead. What the fuck is up with that?]

Maybe they saw us alone on the streets one day. Pegged us as an easy pick. Kept shadowing us and getting information before finally making their move. But that theory still doesn't tell us how they grabbed us.

[The dog is a good dog, very pleased withe the attention and also very pleased to be with Percy again. Jason can be a good new friend, she thinks.

As far as Percy's concerned, everybody could use dog therapy so he doesn't mind either. He looks at Sara's profile, tilting his head in thought.]

That's...very possible, yeah. [Should he feel vaguely insulted on Sara's behalf? That's for some other time.] But on the other hand you don't have to be smart to kidnap someone if someone else is holding you here. I don't think we know all of the people involved in this game yet to get a real idea.

If someone was watching me and Annabeth, we would have noticed. That doesn't add up and neither does how they grabbed us in the first place, unless they did it all overnight. A lot of us remember being awake before waking up on the train, but that doesn't explain anything. [He makes a face.] Still no sign of a conductor or anything either. That train's stuck just like we are, so where did those other two girls come from?
