It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings.
... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours!
After all, there's nothing wrong with the town today and you might just want to savor it while it lasts.

It's a family gift. Being able to talk to horses is something I inherited from one side of my family, and it's weird, but you eventually get used to weird stuff like that.
Oh yeah, all kinds of fun with my uncles starting wars with my dad whenever they get close. [IT. Sounds like a joke, probably isn't. OH WELL.] Lately everybody's been fighting about what they want to do because they all think they have the best ideas. Truth is? All of their ideas kind of suck.
Oh yeah. [There's another smirk as one of the horses finally approaches and he moves to hold an apple out to it.] I've had a lot of conversations with them, doesn't mean they always listen. It took a lot just for them to even consider some of the suggestions we had. Sometimes...they don't think they need us at all.
[He has some mixed feelings all the same. He's not like Luke who defied the gods for not listening, but Percy knows that they aren't good and true either.] We're working on getting them to get along one more time.
