The town is quiet, eerily so. All animals, all chatter, all gusts of wind have come to a complete stop this morning. A tumbleweed passes by through the center of town and the rocking chair on the Sheriff's porch sways but remains silent. Everything is muted and as the door of the hotel opens, the only sensation that rings utterly true today is this: One of your own is gone. And now, as the rules state, it is your job to discover their fate. Welcome to the investigation post! If your character decides to search an area, please post the name of the location in your header and wait for mod replies. Anything to discover will be indicated during the course of the thread. After the body is discovered, an announcement will be made and characters are free to spend the rest of the afternoons how they like. [Yuna gets all of her sobbing out of the way surprisingly quickly—it's some pretty intense and gross sobbing, sorry to all of the friends she just cried on and probably got her boogers on too, but it's hardly even minutes before she's focused again. She takes a few steps back from the group at large, wipes her eyes with the back of her hand, and doesn't bother trying again when new tears just well up to take their place.]

He-hey—Hey! [For all of that, her voice is surprisingly steady, and she's impressively loud.] Miss Tiara wasn't in her cell, was she? That means she's still out there! We've gotta find her!

[She looks everyone over, tries standing a little straighter.]

Nobody should be alone right now, so we should go in groups! If we keep two or three people together, we can cover more ground, and a few people can stay here, so let's hurry up and decide who's going where and get going! [And she turns to a few specific people—] Hero Club, I need you right now! Help us get organized! She could need our help, so we have to hurry!

THERE'S MORE IMPORTANT THINGS TO DO THAN CRY!!!

Xion hops to attention at Yuna's rallying cry, her eyes still red-rimmed but her expression very determined. ]

I'm here! I'll go wherever you need me to. I'm not scared! [ are you sure ]

[Not that Yuna hadn't been crying hysterically all over her a minute ago, but now she runs over and takes both of Xion's hands in her own.]

The Hero Club's really lucky to have you. Will you go with Harry and Percy and Noctis? I think if a whole lot of you go to the homestead, you'll be able to cover the most ground!

[Not part of the hero club (yet) (it's only a matter of time), but - ]

[Still, there's no use crying; he has to act. Even if it does nothing, even if it fucks him over even more, he still has to act; part of him knows this. As such, he steps forward and says:]

I'll go to the church and look. Where else would a goth-loli like that be? [like... anywhere else]

Then I'm gonna send Higekiri-san and Kamiya-san with you. If she isn't there, check the buildings nearby, heading in the direction of the hotel.

[That. Is a great point. He moves away from wherever he was when he hears Yuna and he turns his attention to her, sobering up and nodding in response.]

I can check out a couple of places if you need extra eyes, too.

Will you go with Xion, Noctis, and Harry? I want a lot of people heading towards the farm since there's a lot to look at out there.

To help narrow things down, the boarded up stores haven't been disturbed at all. The general store was also fine when Chip Lady and I checked this morning.

And I can confirm this. It doesn't look like anyone entered the boarded up buildings, and we saw no one at all while we were at the general store.

[ He's more than a little numb. He'd been looking, searching for answers all week, only to have this happen and not be able to do anything about it. Two people were dead, and one was missing. He has to do something, so looking for Tiara it is. He couldn't think she was responsible for what had happened, after talking to her in her cell, but then...how would they know until they found her?

Everyone is a suspect now. ]

I'll go with you. [ Resolute and unwavering. He might not be in the Hero Club, but he has to do something. ]

Thank you. I'm still organizing, so will you go with Percy, Noctis, and Xion? Since there's a lot of ground to cover by the farm, I want a lot of people over there, and I think I'd like it if you guys stayed together.

[Finally, Yuna's making more sense today. Manfred was considering Tiara as a possible suspect and would like to detain her.]

She can't have gotten far. She may know something we don't, as well.

Fine, I guess I'll help. Not like I've got anything better to do.

[He looks so annoyed over having to actually try and be useful, especially in anything associated with Yuna.]

[First order of Hero Club business is to find a girl released from jail and a possible murder suspect. Far-fetched as it may seem, this is (unfortunately) about how Ana expected it to go. It makes her grateful that she decided to join this little group. What surprises her is how much of a surprisingly good leader Yuna is making, actually mobilizing instead of going belly-up.

Is Ana proud? Absolutely.]

I can lead a small group. Where do you suggest we investigate, Yuna?

[Guide her, O fearless leader.]

WE'RE GOING TO CHURCH (Hegekiri, Okabe, Sei)

Religious places are often regarded as sanctuaries, so maybe she would find it safe to hide in here?

[After fetching one (1) rude old man and two (2) sketchy jerks, Jason will drag all of them towards the Sheriff Station. Once there, he heads for the door that presumably leads upstairs.]

Ana and I searched this place earlier, but we didn't check here before we noticed everyone heading for the graveyard. Have any of you gone upstairs?

[As usual, he'll also have makeshift lock picking tools with him, just in case. But let's try the simplest method first: Is the door locked?]

[ On Yuna's orders, Xion will go find her boys. Thankfully she actually knows all three of these people, and will just kind of. Drag on everyone's sleeves/appendages/conscience until they come along with her. If she minds Percy bringing Sara, she certainly doesn't show it. She is mostly DETERMINED FIRE. ]

We're going to go check out the homestead! We have to find Tiara and it'll be faster if we're in a group!

[ So shape up, boys and girls. We're hittin the farm. ]

HERO CLUB GO (railroad station + beyond; yuna/ana/milla/russell)

[Once Yuna's got everyone organized, she sprints right to the railroad station, where she's climbing over everything she can and hollering at the top of her lungs:] Miss Tiara! Miss Tiaraaaaaa! Miss Tiara, where are you?!

[She's a little out of breath and clearly struggling, but that determined glint hasn't left her eyes.]
