It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings.
... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours!
Except there is, perhaps, a few things amiss.
This post functions as the general mingle post for the week. Wanted Posters and other small events will be posted in top levels below. If there's any questions or requests, please send a PM or shoot a PP to robowest.
1) RAILROAD STATION [ Having examined every nook and cranny of the train's exterior, Claire has determined that there's no way to get inside for now. He can be found standing on the roof of one of the train cars, looking into the distance. How did he get up there? Why is he up there?
Had anyone seen him a little earlier, they may have also noticed him carving something on the roof. It's impossible to see what it says from the ground, but should anyone climb on top as well, the answer will be clear. Yep, I completely wasted your time! ]
The Whole Ass Express... is haunted.
[ Actual quote in Robowest. ]
2) SALOON [ Look... he's had wildly different careers over his time, but he's never had the chance to be a bar owner. Not... that he claims to own this bar. But he'll serve you! And clean the table!
Most importantly, he's entertaining the patrons with some flair bartending. What better way to get your minds off nasty bonfires, right?? ]
Hey, I think I'm getting the hang of this! How about an applause? Drinks are on the house!
[Shinnosuke is... not old enough to drink, nope, but he's not even at the saloon for that. Really, he's just here to look around lest more murders or whatever occur in this place.
But here, have some very sarcastic clapping, Claire.]
[Tarvek hadn't seen Claire carving anything up there. He came at sunset, intending to examine every inch of the train, and that includes the roof. After managing to pile some objects on the side to allow himself climb up, Tarvek starts examining the roof, finding the carving]
What is this...?
[Yeah, he found it, and looks like he's rather puzzled about it]
Can you believe that I only dropped one bottle when I started doing this? I mean I also caught it with my foot, so it's good that I didn't have to clean anything.
[ Because the man who used to be called Vino is known for his neatness. ]
It means that we should probably start making up our own. [A shrug.] A haunted train fits right in with how creepy and messed up the rest of this place is don't you think? Maybe they're people from past games.
[She doesn't enter to drink; she's here for the piano. Still, she can't help but give her opinion on his display all the same, raising her eyebrows as she watches the performance.]
[ He continues to juggle a bunch of bottles as he talks, looking directly at the young woman as if he knows where the bottles and his hands are exactly going to be. ]
I can't do that, who's gonna take care of the bar?
[ Chane is, of course, keeping her husband company and enjoying his theatrical demonstration. He's good at everything he does, she's learned, because he works at it, and this is no exception. Rather, it's something else to appreciate.
When he asks for a round of applause, however -- ]
...
[ - she merely gives him one of their looks, an inscrutable-to-anyone-but-Claire look. ]
[ He'll address her first question in a minute-- ]
A running train full of shadowy figures inside? It reminds me of my favourite ghost story, only in mine we would be the ones inside and the ghosts on the outside. It's kinda interesting, don't you think?
[ She's heard ... of ghost stories. She's never been told one. Xion tilts her head, still staring up at him, then looks at the train. Thoughtfully she steps forward and presses a hand to one of the windows. ]
It's strange. Something about them is sort of familiar, but I can't place it.

If I was baffled and trying to find out what a train is, I wouldn't be doing it from the roof.
[He starts rubbing the carving with a finger]
No, there's something carved up here, and I'm not sure what to think of it. Have you seen this?

regardless:]
Not much of a drinker. Call it barkeep's choice. [he's not refusing a drink, but he doesn't really have any preferences either.]
