It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings.
... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours!
Except there is, perhaps, a few things amiss.
This post functions as the general mingle post for the week. Wanted Posters and other small events will be posted in top levels below. If there's any questions or requests, please send a PM or shoot a PP to robowest.
I never said anything about not believing it, but even you have to think it's pretty weird it was sitting there. [But on the other hand:] Was it facing Jason? Or was it facing the station?
Here's what I don't get. If the camera was facing Jason and it was recording but it was showing everything in the hotel...technology doesn't work like that. [Yes thank you, Percy. This is why you're not an Athena kid.] Does that mean that there's another camera hidden somewhere in the hotel that's probably watching Jason?
[He's not expecting Shinnosuke to know, he's mostly musing out loud.] You tried all of the buttons, I'm guessing.
Which means it's either brand new, or our Sheriff's taking footage off and storing it somewhere else. Is it bad if I think it's probably the latter? Maybe it's information for his employers to watch us.
[He opens his mouth like he's about to say something in the way of Shinnosuke and voyeurs, but he thinks better of it.]
If that camera was showing things around the hotel, what about the rest of the town? It seems even weirder that it's just in this place. [Hm.] What if the footage was fake? You didn't see anybody or anything moving did you?
We did, actually. To name one example, we saw Yuna and Mr. Lecter cleaning up after their party at around [insert whatever time]. You can verify with them.
Oh. [WELL.] Okay, so there goes that idea. Probably means the cameras around the hotel are so hidden we can't even see them. I don't think those two would let something like that go missed.
Mr. Lecter's one of those guys that's probably way too focused on details to miss something like that. Didn't you see the menu from Xion's party? But my point stands.
That's still an important subject. [But fuck, whatever, fine.] People were looking around town for bugs or cameras when we first got here and we didn't find anything.
[...hm.] A lot of hotels have surveillance cameras don't they? Security purposes and stuff.
If we didn't find anything earlier, our chances of finding something now aren't great... but then again, I wouldn't have thought that this thing would just be plopped on Mr. Sheriff's porch, so who knows?
That's kind of how I feel about it, too. We looked everywhere and found nothing, and now this is totally obvious. If that's not sketchy I don't know what is.
Sounds like we're really keeping it though. Maybe we'll get answers in the morning.

... Well, Yuna seems a little clumsy, but that other guy seems stiff enough to not miss a detail like that.

I don't do parties. [Or "hanging out with people", period.] Let's get back to the important subject now, please?

But yeah, sounds about right.

Maybe. I'm hoping not, but maybe.

Well, if people want to use this camera to prevent any more murders from happening, we do need to consider how Mr. Sheriff might react to that.
The road to hell is paved with good intentions, etc.

To did not notice any cameras, no. Not in the kitchen, nor anywhere else.

[not sorry for calling you stiff]

Thanks for confirming, Dr. Lecter. [Yeah he doesn't notice he slipped and made this more respectful than he should have, oh well.]
