It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings.
... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours!
After all, there's nothing wrong with the town today and you might just want to savor it while it lasts.
This post functions as the general mingle post for the week. Wanted Posters and other small events will be posted in top levels below. If there's any questions or requests, please send a PM or shoot a PP to robowest.
a; wanted [Look, yeah, everyone went to find their own poster. Eliot's done his best to look over the others first, though he can't help but worry about what his will have listed. Lord knows he's done some bad things in his life and... well, he's hoping there's not too much listed on there.
When he does find it, he realizes he didn't really have anything to worry about. Not that it's exactly great to have a list of the things his crew's been involved in, but... well. It's essentially harmless. If ridiculous. Seriously, have fun reading this one, it's very silly.
But then he reaches the identifying features and he frowns.]
What? That's... I don't always look like I wanna-- [for emphasis, he knocks his fist against wood next to the poster] --punch something!
[There's a beat as the realization sets in and Eliot just... awkwardly pulls his arm back.]
...Damn it.
b; saloon [When he's not off doing... who even knows what it is Eliot spends most of his time doing... he can be found in the saloon several times. He's not a heavy drinker, especially compared to some people he could name -- COUGHNATEFORDCOUGH -- but, well, he could use just a little in his system after... everything.
Not much, he wants his senses sharp enough, just in case anything changes. He doesn't tend to drink more than a glass every time he's there. But he stays for a while, for a lack of much better places to be. He seems approachable enough.
...For Eliot. Approachable enough for Eliot. That's still not exactly inviting, but it's the best you're getting.]
c; homestead [Eliot also pops up a bunch over at the homestead. The animals that he seems most drawn to are the horses. He's honestly surprisingly gentle with them, giving them attention mostly just... for its own sake. Sometimes he seems to talk to them a little in a quiet, low voice. Maybe. It's hard to make out anything.
Point is he's spending an awful lot of time with the horses. He's not paying as much attention to his surroundings as usual, so it's a good time to catch him off guard, if you really want to do that.
Seems Eliot is a horse guy. Who knew.]
d; wildcard [business as usual, hit me up with whatever else you want, or contact me if you wanna plan something out. go wild.]
[Oh boy, this guy. Because this is exactly what he needs. A reason for his annoyance levels to go up even more.]
Oh... shut up! [He crosses his arms, because he's already tempted to punch the wall again. Way to prove the poster wrong, Eliot.] These are all goddamn ridiculous.
You do, a bit, but don't worry too much about it. It's kinda cute.
[ She does eye the list of thefts on his poster as well. But given hers as an example, it seems unlikely anyone's list of crimes are exhaustive or necessarily representative. ]
[...Okay, "cute" throws him slightly, because that's not usually what people say about him in this kinda context.]
Wh... Uh. [Yeah, you know, he's just gonna move past that bit.] ...Don't think anyone can blame me for wantin' to punch something anyway, in this crazy place.
[Yuna loves the homestead, but she doesn't get to visit it all that often; it's so far away, and there's so much for her to do in the town with everyone else, and the hike tires her out more than she really wants to admit—but she's made it there today! And it's not like she means to startle Eliot when she notices him hanging out with the horses from where she's crouched in the flower fields, but rarely are tiny teenagers popping out of the flowers and hollering and waving expected.]
[Eliot is... well, startled isn't really the right word. It's hard to startle him, it barely ever happens. His guard is up too much for that. So he doesn't jump or anything. But he does look over awfully quick and the surprise in his expression is pretty clear, brief as it is.
She was hidden with the flowers. Somehow, he feels that shouldn't surprise him.
He doesn't wave, but he does give her a nod.]
'Sup. [He looks over the flowers, trying to figure out what exactly she's up to. Hell if he knows, though.] ...You probably shouldn't sneak up on people. Just a tip.
Sorry! [She starts to duck into the flowers again and then realizes halfway through that that's a terrible way to keep herself from sneaking up on people, and pops right back up.] I didn't mean to...
[although!! she slooowly starts crouching again] Hehe, is it really that tough to see me in here?
[ Simon's also been hanging out with the horses, and at first he tries to stay out of Eliot's way, there being enough pretty ponies for everybody. But eventually he comes over (quietly, stealthily, seriously wanting to hear just a teensy bit of what he's whispering) to say hello. ]
[Eliot doesn't jump. Not that he saw Simon coming, because he didn't, it's just... difficult to startle him. He just looks over, no longer talking to the horses.]
...I got some experience with horses. Dated a girl who works with 'em.

Are you sure? You do look like you want to punch something...
[Maybe he shouldn't be saying that as a guy with "punchable" as one of his identifying features, but ehhhhhh.]
no subject
[Shooting him a glare now.]
You wanna take a wild guess what that something might be?

Gotta say, I'm pretty curious about how you managed to steal a few of those things. I mean, a country?

[Says the peanut gallery, examining his own poster a couple steps away. Also? Resisting the urge to stare at all of Eliot's thefts??? Yikes.]

[Says the guy who still looks like he wants to keep punching the wall. Yeah, no temper issues here, at all.]
Not my fault these posters are ridiculous.
no subject
[Sarcasm. Please do not bully the grown ass men, kid.]
If they're so ridiculous, why pay attention to them? It's not like anyone who matters here believes or cares about what's written there.

Don't know where they even got any of this info.

[for some people. she's ignoring her own posters, tyvm]
They must have been watching us for quite some time. How they managed to do it without being caught is beyond me.
