It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings.

... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours!

After all, there's nothing wrong with the town today and you might just want to savor it while it lasts.

[She holds up her hands, placating. Despite her default mode of Sarcastic Asshole, she actually won't be that awful to kids.]

[ she mutters something under her breath, but she looks less annoyed now. ]

Okay, no making fun of the name. Duly noted, won't happen again.

[Moving on.]

So. A large potato?

[Apparently talking about her poster is off limits, but questioning the others is fair game.]

I wish I had a large potato...

[ that sounds delicious right now. ]

I ate a magical one once! I think it was magic?

[Opens mouth. Closes mouth. Opens it again after a long moment.]

...I would ask, but I don't really think I want to know.

It was really tasty though. If I turn myself in do you think I'd get the reward?

[ she glances back at her own poster. ]

Probably not. That sheriff guy wasn't very nice.

I feel like his idea of bounty takes the whole alive part out of dead or alive. At least nobody will kill you to get a potato, at least? Probably.

[Always look on the bright side.]

Do you think people will actually do that? Try to kill each other?

[ he said that was the point in all of this, but someone telling them to do something and actually doing it are two different things. ]

I mean, yeah. Obviously, if they believe that he's actually going to reward them for it, someone's going to take him up on it.

[She's too cynical to believe anything else.]

But we don't know if he'll actually do it or not! He doesn't seem very trustworthy.

Right. You know that, and I know that, but that's not a guarantee that some people here won't be really fucking stupid if they think he can offer them something they're desperate for.

Like money?

[ since most of the people seem to have high bounties. ]

That's probably enough to motivate at least a couple people here, yeah.

[A shrug.]

One of the rules is that anyone who wants to murder someone has to talk to him beforehand. Maybe that's so they can settle on a reward, or whatever.

What happens if they don't? Would he kill them as punishment?

You could probably ask him. No idea if he'd tell you, but.

I'd need to find him again...

Maybe he's in his office? I mean, the rulebook did say to ask him if you had any questions, I doubt he's hiding where none of us can find him.

Nah. Gotta say, I don't really see the point? And I don't feel like cooperating with some asshole who's only here to make sure we all kill each other.

I want to beat him up.

...Well, that wasn't what I thought you were going to say, but it's not like it's unwelcome. Although, seeing as he's probably made out of metal, that might not be the best plan of action.
