It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings.
... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours!
After all, there's nothing wrong with the town today and you might just want to savor it while it lasts.
This post functions as the general mingle post for the week. Wanted Posters and other small events will be posted in top levels below. If there's any questions or requests, please send a PM or shoot a PP to robowest.
[After fetching the rulebook and reading it over in the sitting room... well, there are a lot of things Shinnosuke could feel about this.
The reaction he settles for is bursting into laughter (he's sane, he swears... probably??). Yeah.]
Haha... ah...
town hall:
[Now that Shinnosuke's done having his fit of crazy......
He'll be calling out, in the area in front of the town hall:]
Well, I'm sure we all heard the charming explanation behind our kidnapping, and more. While I'm sure you'd like to live in denial about this entire thing... thoughts? Mr. Sheriff did mention some interesting things, as does our little rulebook.
railroad station:
[Like some others, Shinnosuke has found his wanted poster, so.]
Well, I'm afraid my face is naturally like that... and hey, I've never harassed anyone. This is lies and slander, isn't it?
[That's the only thing he's taking offence ("""offence""") to, yep.]
Oh, I think some people could be pushed, especially if this goes on for long enough. [...] But I agree in that whoever's behind this probably doesn't intend to sit around and wait for that possibility.
It's too bad Mr. Sheriff didn't specify what his plan for a stalemate was, but I suppose keeping us in suspense is shaping up to be his specialty.
[Milla hears the laughter as she's exiting the hotel, her own rule book tucked in the pockets of her skirt. she stops, tilts her head, and then isn't surprised at all when she sees to whom the laughter belongs to]
[ sword maintenance is great thing to do to distract oneself. what's not great are people acting like crazies in one corner of the sitting room. ]
I'm assuming that there's something hilarious written in your own rulebook. [ which is why he's laughing. because he's read his and nope, nothing funny.
sakyou checks the length of hotarumaru, to see if there are any fingerprints along its blade. ] Otherwise that's a sign of madness.
[ He grabbed his book too! It's small and he was about to read it, actually. If it's interesting, as Shinnosuke referred to it, that's more of a reason to. ]
I'd rather not die like this.
[ A simple youkai with simple needs, as shown in how almost cheerfully he says it. ]
Oh, that's no good. You might meet your end early if you don't put in the effort.
[ Is that savage? He's a sword, they're used to defend their owners if they try to not die hard enough. ]
I'm used to working with others for a nice goal, not fending for just my own life by taking the lives of those around me. But I guess life throws... ah, loops?

I mean, I'm sure you're sweet and upstanding, but harassment comes in all forms.
no subject
Well, if you want to stretch the definition of harassment, then sure, but a vague charge helps no one, right?

[Yeah, he's not in denial]
The Sheriff must have some sort of plan up his sleeve.

[That Sheriff is frustrating, really]
That's what people like him do, never let your victims have any information. Can't say I'm surprised.

I suppose if you have a dark sense of humor it would be, yes. I don't find it very amusing myself.

I don't know, I found it pretty amusing. But who's to say that we're not all mad here?
no subject
I suppose that would make sense of the game we're forced to play. Mad captor, mad captives.
[ and this is all a mad dream. except it's not. ]

[The Sheriff claimed that he didn't want to do this and was just bound to rules, but Manfred doesn't trust that guy as far as he could throw him.
And let's be real, Manfred isn't the best at bodily throwing people.]

Is someone so depraved as to be willing to pay for this little show, I wonder?
[Manfred wouldn't put it past some criminals to be so twisted as to want to watch their very own coliseum with murdering gladiators.]

Well, you could... if you feel like starving to death. Or dehydration—whichever comes first for you.
